We’re excited to announce the release of FMS v1.1.0, bringing one of the most requested capabilities to Fliteca — automatic vehicle trip detection.
Alongside this major feature, the update introduces push notification support, new geo-zone management capabilities, and several improvements that make working with fleets smoother and more efficient.
Let’s take a look at what’s new!
Automatic Vehicle Trip Detection
One of the most anticipated features, automatic Vehicle trip detection, has finally arrived! Fliteca can now automatically detect and visualize vehicle trips, allowing you to easily understand how vehicles move throughout the day.
You can open the trips view directly from the vehicle card, where a new route icon reveals a dedicated sidebar for filtering and exploring trips by date and time.
Clicking on a trip instantly displays the complete route from point A to point B, automatically zooming the map to frame the entire journey. This makes it much easier to analyze routes, verify activities, or simply understand how your fleet is operating.

Push Notification Support
When an alert is configured to send notifications and the user has Fliteca mobile application installed, push notifications will now also be delivered to their phone.
This ensures that important fleet events reach you instantly — even when you’re away from the dashboard.

To receive these alerts, simply download the Fliteca app (Available both on iOS and Android) and enable push notifications for the Fliteca application in your mobile device’s system settings.
Geo-Zone Groups and Line Geo-Zones
Managing geo-zones has become much more powerful in this release.
You can now organize geo-zones into groups, making it easier to manage large numbers of zones across complex fleet environments. The geo-zone table in the map view has been redesigned to support grouped zones, and a new filter allows you to quickly search by zone name or group name.
In addition, Fliteca now supports line-type geo-zones. These zones consist of a line path with a configurable width, making them ideal for monitoring roads, corridors, routes, or restricted paths where traditional circular or polygon zones may not be suitable.

Improvements and fixes Across the Platform
This release also brings several usability improvements throughout the platform.
- The tracker table now shows precise activity timestamps in seconds precision. This makes it easier to understand when a device last connected.
- On the vehicle page, you can now filter vehicles by status such as Offline, Parked, or Moving, helping you quickly focus on the vehicles that matter.
- Tracker communication has also been enhanced. When sending GPRS commands, you can now set an expiration time for commands. Commands can also be sent to entire vehicle groups, simplifying fleet-wide configuration changes.
- Navigation across the platform has also become smoother. Both the map page group filter and table filters now persist when navigating between pages. This prevents you from needing to repeatedly reapply filters and saves time.
- We’ve also addressed an issue where timestamps in Graphical Analysis were displayed in UTC. They are now correctly shown in the user’s local time zone, making analysis more intuitive.
Looking Ahead
With v1.1, Fliteca continues to evolve into a more powerful and intelligent fleet management platform. Automatic trip detection is just the first step in expanding route analysis and operational insights. And we’re excited on how many new possibilities this creates for the future!
As always, thank you for using Fliteca, providing feedback and for helping shape its development.
Happy tracking!
