Fliteca v1.4 Released: Introducing Reporting & Analytics
We’re proud to announce yet another Fliteca release. This time – we are focusing in turning your fleet data into useful, actionable information.
The centerpiece of this release is our completely new Reporting & Analytics module, now available with our highest-tier subscriptions. We’ve completely rebuilt reports from the ground up. Instead of a small number of fixed reports hidden around the app, Fliteca now provides a dedicated reporting environment designed for everything from everyday fleet monitoring to more detailed operational analysis.
With seven new report types, flexible configuration, background generation, reusable templates, scheduled reports and multiple export options, this release gives you significantly more control over how you analyze your fleet.
And reporting is only part of this release. We’ve also introduced multi-level geo-zone groups, custom geo-zone colors, detailed trip idling statistics, live tracker data directly on the map, and a long list of usability and stability improvements across Fliteca.
Reporting, Rebuilt From the Ground Up
Our goal with the new reporting system wasn’t simply to add more reports. We wanted to build a foundation that could adapt to different fleets and different ways of working with data.
The biggest change yet, is how the reports are generated. Previously, you had to keep the tab open, to generate a report, but now everything happens in the background. This means, that even large reports covering long periods are prepared without interrupting your work.
You decide exactly what the finished report should contain. You can customize and reorder columns, group results by vehicle, their group, geo-zone or time period. And of course, summary tables provide totals so you can quickly understand how your fleet performs.
Seven New Ways to Understand Your Fleet
Fliteca v1.4 launches with seven dedicated report types, each focused on answering a different operational question.
The Trips report helps you understand where your vehicles have actually been. Whether you’re investigating a customer visit, verifying a completed journey or reviewing an unusual route, you can quickly find the relevant trip and see the complete journey from start to finish.

Daily Activity provides a simple way to answer what did each vehicle do on a particular day? It is especially useful for reviewing daily fleet operations, identifying vehicles that remained inactive and comparing workloads between vehicles without having to inspect every trip individually.
The Mileage report can givs you a clear picture of how much your vehicles are being driven. Use it to compare mileage across your fleet, identify unusually high or low usage and support maintenance, leasing or other mileage-based decisions.
With the Stops report, you can understand where your vehicles spend their time when they aren’t moving. This can help identify recurring customer or job-site visits, unexpectedly long stops and locations where vehicles regularly spend more time than expected.
Geo-zone Visits helps answer when, how often and for how long vehicles visit locations that matter to your business. Warehouses, customer sites, construction sites, depots or other operational areas can become measurable parts of your workflow, making it easier to verify visits and understand how time is being spent at each location.
For fleets where safety and compliance matter, Geo-zone Overspeeding helps identify where and when drivers exceed location-specific speed limits. This is particularly useful for yards, construction sites, industrial facilities or other areas where the appropriate speed may be considerably lower than the public road limit.
Finally, the Utilization report tackles one of the most important fleet-management questions: are we actually using all the vehicles we’re paying for? By comparing expected and actual vehicle activity, fleet managers can identify underutilized assets and make better-informed decisions about fleet sizing, allocation and future vehicle purchases.
Together, these reports turn your fleets raw telematics data into answers to practical business questions. Where vehicles went, how they were used, where time was spent, whether operational rules were followed and whether the fleet itself is being used efficiently.
More Insight Into Every Trip
The trip functionality introduced earlier this year has also taken another significant step forward. Fliteca now calculates idling statistics for individual trips. With higher subscription tiers, alongside maximum, average and average-moving speed, you can see total idle time, the number of idle events and the longest period spent idling.
We’ve also redesigned the trip sidebar. Opening it now gives you a summary of the selected day, including the first departure, last arrival, total distance and number of trips, before you dive into individual journeys.

Live Tracker Data, Directly From the Map
Sometimes you don’t need a historical report—you need to know what a tracker is reporting right now. A new action in the vehicle popup opens a live view containing the latest parameters received from the vehicle’s tracker. Values update alongside the map, giving you a convenient way to inspect tracker data without leaving your fleet overview.
Parameters are organized into categories and can be searched by name. You can pin frequently used parameters to the top, so you can reach it more easily. You can also inspect how an individual value has changed during the last 24h, bridging the gap between live monitoring and historical analysis.

Geo-Zones Become Much More Flexible
For customers working with large numbers of geo-zones, v1.4 introduces multi-level geo-zone groups.
Groups can now be nested into structures such as Lithuania/Vilnius/... . This makes it much easier to organize large deployments by country, region, customer, site or any hierarchy that matches your needs.
Geo-zones can now also have their own custom colors. You can choose from predefined colors or use the color picker to better differentiate between different geozone types. This replaces the previous geo-zone severity concept and provides much more useful visual organization on the map.
Plenty of Quality-of-Life Improvements
Beyond the headline features, v1.4 we also include a substantial collection of smaller changes based on our user feedback.
SIM card management has become quicker, with automatic naming suggestions and bulk activation, disabling and coverage changes. We renamed Service Reports and Fuel Reports to Service Visits and Fuel Ups and you can find them under a new Upkeep section.
The geo-zone page received extensive attention as well. We added visibility controls for individual zones and entire groups, improved bulk operations, progress indicators, better imports and improved the overall geozone creation experience.
Last but not least, GPX exports now use the vehicle group tree for vehicle selection. Several map behaviors, mobile layouts, subscription-dependent features and company-management workflows have also been cleaned up.
From Tracking Vehicles to Understanding Fleets
Fliteca started with a fundamental goal: reliably show you where your vehicles are and what they’re doing. As the platform has evolved, simply collecting that data is no longer enough. We want Fliteca to help you understand what that data means. With the new Reporting & Analytics module, richer trip statistics, live tracker data and significantly more capable geo-zones, we feel that this is another important step in that direction. And this is only the beginning for reporting. The new system gives us a foundation on which we can continue adding new reports, analytics and ways of turning fleet data into useful information.
As always, thank you to everyone using Fliteca, sharing feedback and helping us decide what to build next. If you have an idea for a report or another way we could help you understand your fleet better, we’d love to hear it.
Happy Tracking!
